Objectives of SJHA
To foster and control the game of Hockey throughout the City of Sydney area and suburbs for junior players under the age of seventeen (or such age as determined by AHA or approved by the SHA).
Affiliations
SJHA is affiliated with Sydney Hockey Association (SHA)
And we are associated directly to NSW Hockey Association.
Area Committees
Hockey within the Sydney metropolitan is divided into two competitions: Central Area HA run a competition for juniors on the south side of Sydney; North Area HA run a competition for juniors on the north side of Sydney.
SJHA run a competition for the top U15 sides within Sydney - the competition is called The Colin Manning Trophy - U15 Metro Competition.
The winter competitions run from March/April through until September.
